Originally conceived as a "one-off" production, Joseph was to be the forerunner to a wide range of successful productions which have seen the company expand into the accomplished company it is today.

"Joseph" was the recruiting ground for a group of people who came from professional and semi-professional acting, music, dance, technical and stage management backgrounds, along with others who had never set foot on a stage before, but who soon found themselves singing four part harmony as if they'd been doing it all their lives. Several of the original group are still providing technical expertise or treading the boards as seasoned members of the company to the present day, whilst others who gained their first experience of theatre with Act 1 productions have since moved on to professional theatre schools, colleges and universities throughout the UK.
